The California Superbike School‘s syllabus consists of four levels of training, each of which is delivered in a single day. All students are required to undertake the levels in order.
Each level covers a range of technical skills and drills which are taught off-track and practised on-track. An individual debrief follows each on-track session. Classroom briefings are given by a world class seminarist who has been trained personally by Keith Code. On track coaching is provided on a 1:3 coach to student ratio.
For a more detailed explanation of each Level – please read the descriptions below.
Foundation Skills and Techniques
Level 1 teaches five fundamental skills which are addressed in turn. Each has a technical briefing followed by an on-track riding session allowing you to apply and understand each skill. At the end of Level 1 we expect you to have significantly improved your understanding of motorcycle control and to be confident in applying these skills on both road and track.

Level 2 addresses how you visualise and plan for the road or track ahead. Learning how your eyes function and how to create space and therefore time will vastly improve your cornering confidence and overall riding performance. By the end of Level 2 we expect you to have confidence in your ability to plan for the road ahead and for your riding to flow.

Level 3 addresses how you interact with your motorcycle. Our team will teach you about rider and motorcycle stability, body position choices and transitions, and how these can effect the cornering process. All of the skills you learn are indispensable for use on road or track. Classroom briefings take place on a static motorcycle ahead of on-track practice. Level 3 can be physically tiring as the riding style and skills have a much higher degree of physicality. By the end we expect you to have significantly improved your riding ability, and your stability when moving around on the motorcycle.

Level 4 is a step-change from Levels 1-3 in that it is highly tailored to your personal goals. It provides you with both an on-track and an off-track coach who work together as a team to support your specific training requirements. Many Level 4 students continue to come back to the school at different circuits, refining and improving their riding skills.
