Chennai Circuit, India
The Madras Motor Sports Club in Chennai was first used by CSS in 2010 during our first visit to South East Asia. The MMSC Track (near the city formerly known as Madras) has a full circuit of 11 metres wide, featuring 12 turns and conforms to FIM regulations.
The challenging 2.5 mile (4.2 km) track is one that you never tire of and is a firm favourite among the CSS coaches. We usually visit during the early part of the year with beautiful weather almost guaranteed. We are always greeted with a very warm welcome and the hospitality from the guys in Chennai is legendary – only matched by the fun you will have on the track with the combinations of esses and left-rights.
The Schools are a truly one-off experience with a wonderful vibrant atmosphere in partnership with our friends and organisers at Maya Appliances (P) Ltd. The organisers also have a larger objective – using revenues to support the discovery, mobilization and training of talented youngsters who cannot otherwise afford to pay for training and track time. Initiatives such as this are needed to ensure that, one day, India will have its very own riders competing in the International Motorsport area.
